I understand what you are saying, but this is not the place for YOU to comment. Now if it was in Greek Life, yes. Your frat's forum, yes. But here, no.

I quoted you since YOU made a comment.

The only thing is his statement/rant that I objected to was the one line calling all "non-blacks" runts or genetic mutate ridden (do get that part) animals <sorry but I don't see how that can't be seen as racially offensive to the rest of "us" here on GC>

It's simple. There are rules on Greekchat and they apply to all forums.

As you said, " this is not the place for YOU to comment". So no comments from you now I guess.

Maybe black to white, but definitely not apples to oranges.

If you believe that then your original comment is really invalid.

No I was refering to RA having come in here before starting sh*t. He commented on PHA's post. I commented on RA's post. I did not come into the Alpha forum and bash an Alpha. That is what I meant by apples to oranges.

Again, the rules are universal regardless of forum, fraternity, race, whatever.

And RACooper is free to post and comment all he wants here but posts that break the rules should not be in this forum or others, regardless of your flippant comments.

No. If you took your Estroven, you'd have a more pleasant attitude.

Brothers,

Some responses deserve no answer - - - let's continue to march onward and upward.

Tony, we got you. :)
You wouldn't have anything to worry about...as long as the check is in the mail. LOL

Good question, OA.

In this country, I don't trust any system totally--and I'm not a conspiracy theorist at all. We know personally many distinguished jurists and attorneys among the bruhs, as well as others of good will who ably serve in the judicial system, so it's hard to just say "no." Yet, it's naive to not recognize that political/legal systems are run by people, subject to corruption and influence by money and power, to some degree.

I'd expect justice were I a defendent cause I'd know I didn't do the isht. Besides, my stellar defense team of SummerChild, Kimmie1913, joined by junior associates SkeePHIstiAKAte and Exquisite would get me off.....they betta, as much $$ as they cost me. :)

The REAL Dream Team!

To answer the question, I would expect to win because I would get the best attorney money could by.

I think that most people don't understand the intricacies of the legal system and are always surprised at the outcome of publicized cases. People outside of the jury room are inundated with one-sided information from the media and try and convict defendants without being privy to the other side of the argument. That is why it may appear that "justice" was not served. When justice really = guilt BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT-an extremely high standard that is pretty difficult to achieve.

I do, however believe that racial/economic bias is and will always remain a roadblock to true justice.

I agree with this entirely. I think that a lot of times what appears to be a cut and dry case, based on the media portrayal of the evidence, is much more nuanced and complicated.

I think that the change in terminology is interesting too. I wasn't aware of that.

Would I expect justice, I have to say yes. I think because of the socio-economic factors, I would be one of the people who the system works for. Of course, race is and probably always will be a factor. Let's just hope that I never have to test my hypothesis.
