Link, please?

I'm kind of kidding, but not really. Like nobody else here was curious. ;)

Haha..yeah. I understand why she can't post the link, but I still wish I could see it.

Case...

That reminds me of Sigma Pi on our campus a few years back...

There was a disgruntled member who leaked "PRIVIED INFORMATION" to one of the student newspapers...

That included their grip, some symbols, and the motto translated...

Sigma Pi then proceeded to take the stacks of papers from all the stands...

Big controversy back then...

Most societies dread that...

I can tell you one thing- there would be hell to pay if someone were to mess with our information... Literally...

Sorry, not posting the link. Let's just say it's not the best PR move! There are no NPC members in the sweetheart group. 2 members from our chapter were prior to colonization, but after that they left.

The sweetheart group is comprised of member who would typically be sorority women. They are active on campus and with the fraternity. I'd say most are students from that campus, but there are women who are from other schools as well that are part of the group.

The sororities are small and work hard to grow their numbers. It is an amazing feat to watch!!! There are possibly 300-500 women on campus to recruit from (technical school). The fraternities range from 15 members to 50. 2 NPC, 5 (or 6) IFC, and 2 NPHC. I'd say the sweetheart group ranges from 10-20 depending on the time of year.

I'm sure gossip and scandal would be strong motivating factors to want to puruse such a site, but I think this thread would be promptly deleted if a link were to actually be posted.

It's a shame that some people's lives are so bankrupt of real meaning and friendship that they have to waste their time tearing down a brotherhood or sisterhood shared and enjoyed by so many others. It kind of makes you wonder why they joined in the first place.

Oh! I remember seeing that article! If I remember it correctly, it was a female who had taken advantage of the brother while he was drunk. According to her, she flirted with him for a bit and then he just blabbed away about their ritual. I believe she said that she wrote the article to show how stupid a fraternity member could be when drunk and when influenced by the promise of sex.

It wasn't a disgruntled member unless, of course, he lied in the article to cover his tracks. Oh well....what else would you expect from The Union?

Well said.

As the old saying goes, cover your booty!

This type of stuff does not Help Your Chapter. It could be a detrement for sure.

Sure they can....cancel her membership! I used to be the Director of Standardsa and Ethics and we had to cancel the memberships of women who had already graduated for different reasons.

The "former member" they are referring to has already been terminated/had membership cancelled. It's not a graduate.

ADPiZXalum 06-03-2005 05:36 PM

Oooohhhhhhh ok. Yea, not much you can do about her, the current member, give her the boot. I'm pretty sure that would violate just about everything you could think of.

flirt5721 06-03-2005 05:47 PM

The current member should have her membership suspended since she is contributing to "unsisterly like conduct". If she is and AXiD then she doen't stand for what AXiD stands for and doesn't deserve the right to be part of something as great as Alpha Xi Delta.

Navane...

You're a GPhiB from our campus?

Are you still active, or alum?

Do you know KiKi (Kirsten)? She's alum now, but she's a big sis and lil sis of our house... She's seriously dating one of our recent alums too...

But yeah, the Union... Enough said...

I know, because I was a Sports Section staff member for the Daily 49er this past year... We talk smack on them all the time... LOL...

I graduated from Long Beach State, but I'm an alumna initiate with the University of San Diego chapter.

Unfortunately, no. I don't know too many women from Gamma Eta chapter. :(

I remember one of the guys who wrote for the Grunion was a child development major. The idea that he wrote such filthy "articles", and would then go and work with kids, always kind of bothered me. :)

Anyway, you should come to our GreekChat get-together in July! It's going to be in Long Beach!

problems like this would be solved if you black balled the bitchy girls

LightBulb 06-05-2005 10:41 AM

I'm sure you already thought of this, but...

make sure you print the website before your Nationals gets involved, as the current member might delete it before they had a chance to read it.
