Its definitely something I love about GC!

If GC allowed pictures in signatures or even avatars for that matter I know I personally would never be able to visit GC while at work in fear of inappropriate pictures. There are many people on here that visit GC while at work & I'm sure they wouldn't want to risk it either.
I have to be super careful because I know 4 people that work my company that were fired in the last year for viewing inappropriate web sites/pictures. I can't risk my job like that. The only other message board I go to has avatars but we're a small community & everyone knows better than to use something distasteful.

One more thing, Craig. Surely you learned this when you were a kid. Timing is everything. It's not a good idea to go asking someone for something when you recently did something "bad" (i.e. the thread from the other day and the very nasty things that were said). lol. Gotta wait until it's not so fresh in their mind

I'm considering avatars... may turn them on at some point in the near future. Not so sure about pics in sigs... I really doubt that functionality will be added, but I'll at least consider it as a possibility.

Before I add avatars and especially if I was to add pics in sigs, I'll see if I can setup some kind of profile option where you would be able to select that no avatars or other attached images would display on your screen when you use GC.

Thank you, John.

I think avatars wouldn't be so bad...they're usually easy to visually ignore, and I probably would want to have one. I still don't like having pictures in signatures, though.

one of the msg boards I'm on limits sig pic size to width: 500pixels height: 150pixels

I'd much rather have a 100X100 avatar below my username next to each post than a sig pic
