It sounds like you have found your way home! Congrats! Can't wait to hear which lucky sorority you are going to be a sister of!

Check written? Done
Check cashed? DONE
Check cleared: DONE

I think it is time for the fat lady to start warming up to sing!

Wow, this sounds familiar!

I would say that if you've sent them money and they've accepted it/cashed your check/whatever then it's pretty certain you're in. Tri Delta sent me an invite letter and asked me to accept their invitation and THEN told me what the fees were. I can't imagine why it wouldn't be done that way in your case.

blueangel 05-14-2005 09:21 AM

That's exactly what happened for me too. I received an invitation from my alumnae chapter. I wrote back a formal acceptance, and then I received a badge order form and another for national with fees.

newsororgal 05-14-2005 03:10 PM

I received my letter of acceptance! I will be initiated date TBA. I am assuming there is some sort of new member process, help me out here fellow AI's. But I have been accepted into membership. I am allowed to reveal whom the jades are? Any guesses? I should give a few hints- they are a smaller sorority and quite prominent on the East coast.

Jill1228 05-14-2005 03:26 PM

Yes you can reveal. You got accepted and other stuff (see my check list). Yes I am ready to sing

As far as guesses, are they more predominant in the North East or South East?

My guess is D Phi E

ms_gwyn 05-14-2005 04:03 PM

oh guessing has begun....

I'm covering all my basis here:

DPhiE
Phi Sig
Theta Phi Alpha

I think those are the smaller strong east coast orgs

I'll put my guess is for Phi Sigma Sigma. We are a smaller sorority but have a lot of chapters on the East coast. We do allow alumnae initiation but it is not a commonly known practice.

Can't wait to see where you're going to find your new home. Welcome to the Greek sisterhood.

Carolyn

No correct guesses yet. I could narrow it down to 4 by saying something about that number. Anyone want to take another stab?
Another hint: prominent in the east as oppossed to west, but some in the midwest.

tunatartare 05-15-2005 11:09 AM

Alpha Sigma Alpha
Sigma Sigma Sigma

both are members of the Farmville Four and new soror gal said there was something about the number four

cutiepatootie 05-15-2005 01:13 PM

I am going to just throw it out t here for the sake of making sure basis are covered is it ALPHA PHI?!

were pretty big in the east

I don't think it's APhi because she said they're a smaller sorority. Alpha Phi is one of the larger NPC sororities.

I'll say it's either Sigma Sigma Sigma, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Sigma Delta Tau, Alpha Sigma Tau, or Alpha Epsilon Phi.

pinkyphimu 05-15-2005 08:39 PM

my guess is asa...

they are part of the farmville four...and they have four exemplars....smaller...east coast and midwest....

:)

hurray either way!! but let us know soon!!

Jill1228 05-15-2005 10:55 PM

I am NOW guessing ASA or Tri Sigma

Do I need to break out the vice grips and other torture items? :D

ms_gwyn 05-15-2005 11:29 PM

I know that there are numerous threads about this...but I would really like to know what is considered small

but I also don't want to hijack this thread
