I will be arriving June 3. So if someone has time to show me around that would be great! I will be living in Downtown at my internship site. I'll be flying down so I should probably learn the transit. I am good with the DC metro so who knows...

I LOVE sports, playing, watching etc. I am an exercise science major and my internship is with Baylor.

I have done a little research on dallas. I read a little about the botanical gardens I think it was. Also whats Hyde park like? if I am spelling that right.

LOL! I was confused, Its lakewood park and the art gardens. I know I had read about a garden that seemed popular. I looked at the map to find local parks because I was hoping to find a rec center that may have sports clubs for adults.

Dont just do Dallas things-Fort Worth has just as much to offer. I live in Plano, and I agree that downtown Dallas is just too dangerous.

Nobody ever goes to Deep Ellum anymore. The last time I went there, it was DEAD! The time I went before that I saw a girl almost beaten to death!

Most North Dallas residents tend to dine out and party in Addison, anyway. :) Other than the West End and Deep Ellum (which I've never been to since I've been living here), the sidewalks downtown roll up at sundown. Except on OU-saxeT weekend! :D (Though it's a lot tamer than the wanton drunken excess and debauchery fest it once was.)
