Lets not forget what Sesame Street is about. Its about using TV to educate. Not just the ABCs, but also values. Parenting is the most important part of how a child develops, but anyone who thinks that its the only contributing factor needs to wake up. |
I don't think that puppets should be blamed for widespread epidemics.

This is sesame street you're talking about. Why not just not have your fat ass kids watch the show or watch something else with no harmful message in it. I think the TV guide channel might fit those education standards. Taking cookies away from the cookie monster. You should all be ashamed of yourself. That's like taking a fish out of water. Makes no sense for it to exist. |

I think this is retarded - the Cookie Monster has been around a long time, 2 generations grew up with him, 2 generations that weren't overweight, who got exercise and didn't sit in front of the computer all day long playing video games. It's up to parents to feed their children a balanced diet and make sure they get exercise - that's what will stop obseity, not the Cookie Monster cutting back on Cookies.
On another note, did anyone catch Jon Stewart's segment on the Cookie Monster on the Daily Show last night? It was hilarious. |
