KT--- you are not right for that...
For the most part, it sounds like the teacher did not want to deal with this child and her outbursts, today... Sounds like this kid had them before, but not to this degree and not to the point that the teacher could not manage to kick the child out of the classroom to the prinicipal's office. I think the mother lives in denial that her little "angel" is a little "hellion" in class. My mother (a retired principal of an elementary school) and my brother, as well as his wife have had to deal with lunatic children... Usually, they can be controlled by either the principal or school police. It sounds like there is more to this story and it smells like this child is a substance abuser baby... Ain't no way she actin' like the Taz, in the classroom so much so the teacher feels threatened and calls the regular police... Maybe this will scare the kid straight? What if she was in an severely emotionally disturbed classroom? I could have set off the other kids in that kind of classroom. |
Perhaps the teacher is trying to get the attention of social services? I don't know how hard it is to get them to open an investigation down there, but I imagine that this would be one way.
It is interesting how the mom comes up with these luny conspiracy theories... yeah, the teacher "set up" the 5 year old.. Sure. |

Throwing books around at somebody's head when you have a headache and you've taken Imitrex, is not helping this child's situation... So HAYLE, if the teacher did try everything within his or her power to get the correct authorities from the school to do something and they school failed in that department, then if I was the teacher, I'd call the regular police on my cell phone too... EFF that! As far as conspiracy theories, then why didn't the mother put a FOOT up that child's azz? That chile needed an azz whoopin' with an extension cord, throwin' a fit or "temper tantrum" like that in class--you are heerah to learn!!! Dammit!!! Sit cho azz down and shaddup!! Befo' I break my FOOT off in dat azz!!! I'm sorry, but some of "OUR" kidz need FOOTS up in dat azz... That's the ONLY way they can understand... |
You must be/will make a great parent. :D
This country would be a much nicer place had Dr. Spock never written any books about sparing the rod. |
as a special educator who has been hit, kicked, bitten, had desks thrown at her, etc.....from kindergarten aged students to adults aged 30, this child probably has some type of disability that her mom is completely denying.
at least here in mass., teachers have the right to restrain a child who is out of control provided that there is imminent danger to the child or to others. i could give a zillion other things to do, but since the momma sounds like a nut job, i guess this has probably happened before and she doesn't do anything to help. and what is happening in fl? in the other substantially seperate classroom, there are several children who have moved here from fl. most of their parents are uninvolved in their education, but don't deny there is something wrong with them. |
I subbed an autistic class once. We had a room with padded walls that would seal with magnetic power when you held the red button down.
All classrooms need that. |
