YES THIS IS KEY. Hipsters and emo are NOT the same.

Mark from RENT would be more hipster than emo, although he has emo tendencies, but given that RENT is, like, ten years old at this point he isn't really a "modern" version of anything.

Man... I DO feel old. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. (And I haven't seen Rent either...)
