Being transgendered is more than just the simple physical anatomy of your genitalia. It has to do with brain STRUCTURE (anyone watching Anderson Cooper's series this week...VERY interesting on this), in utero exposure to hormones and unknown factors.
Being transgendered DOES NOT always mean being on a course for GRS (gender reassignment surgery) but frequently it does. F to M is less frequent than M to F, but it does occur.
This child's parents are obviously LOVING and courageous to be proactive and responsible as they are. They should be applauded!
