A Chorus Line
Godspell Cats Hair Jesus Christ Superstar My Fair Lady I really like original versions. They updated Jesus Christ Superstar a few years ago and it was awful!. They sometimes show it on PBS. The overall feel was just horrid. |
Rent
Tommy Mamma Mia! We Will Rock You Damn Yankees Hello, Dolly Phantom of the Opera My Fair Lady Little Shop of Horrors Oklahoma West Side Story Chicago Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Cats ...and so on. I love musicals! |
In no particular order:
West Side Story The Music Man Fiddler on the Roof Guys and Dolls Into the Woods Evita Little Mary Sunshine |
Sticking to show's from those I've seen...
Aida Les Miz Brooklyn, The Musical (Mostly because of Eden Espinosa's remarkable belt) Wicked Not necessarily in that order... Oooops, I almost forgot Rent. |
Phantom of the Opera (Play: 6 times (8 by end of year) Movie: 4 times (will own in May)).
Rent (seen 4 times, absolutely LOVE it) Sound of Music (partial b/c I was in it) Miss Siagon (seen 4 times also, again LOVE it) The Lion King (just saw on Friday and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!) Les Mis (have seen 6-7 times, love it but at the same time kind of sick of it). Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (was lucky enough to see on Broadway with Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker and get their sigies too) |
I have enjoyed every Broadway play I have seen here in Norfolk. My favorites have to be:
Cats Mamma Mia Phantom of the Opera Les Miserables The Producers (REALLY FUNNY! wish I had seen it Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick) |
If you ever have a chance, go and see Forbidden Broadway.
|
The Music Man
Le Miserables The Mikado Evita My Fair Lady Fiddler on the Roof West Side Story |

RENT!

I've seen a ton of musicals now that I think about it. I think I must be one of the only people on earth to not like Phantom though. I saw it in London and just thought it was so-so.
My faves: Sound of Music (Saw it with Marie Osmond playing Maria, she was great) Lion King Les Miserables (I love this one!) Grease (mainly because I know all the songs) I have seen many others, but those were just ok. Beauty and the Beast wasn't bad, but I would have rather watched the film again. I also wasn't really keen on Porgy and Bess, but I think I was too young to really appreciate it. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not much of a fan of Rent either. |

Puccini must be pissed if he found out what happen to his creation Musetta's Waltz. Are you referring to Phantom or Rent? Rent was taken from Puccini's opera la boheme, not Phantom but I wonder what Puccini would think of Phantom. |
