I've always enjoyed flowers. But that's just me.

I think that a box of chocolate (preferably Godiva) and a bouquet of flowers will be a nice gift for her. Jewelry or expensive gifts are for relationships.

What did you end up getting her?
|
Flowers and dinner. She made me cupcakes.
Went over better than I expected even though people at the restaurante wouldn't quite talking to me. One dude had the worst breath and wouldn't shut up. |
I'm getting double screwed!
The girl I'm talking to has a birthday on tuesday. It didn't even register when I was thinking about V-day. I should have just done like the doubling up of holidays. Now I have to think of a freakin birthday gift as well! Any suggestions. She is turning 19. |
you could do this in addition to something else if you want, but
mix CD and WRITE THE TRACKS OUT
CDs with no track listing look thoughtless. |
Being that she's 19 she might still consider Valentine's Day a really big deal, but if you ask me, birthdays are way more important. It's HER day.
Want to score points? Make her dinner. And maybe give her a gift certificate to a spa she likes? That's what I'd like! :) Other ideas that are good: a custom-mix CD as others have suggested, a first edition (or old) copy of one of her favorite classic books (you can write a note inside the cover), movie tickets/concert tickets, bottle of the perfume she wears. Oh, and I empathize with you...my boyfriend's birthday is two days before Valentine's Day. |
LOL she turned 19 two years ago. ;) I wonder if they're still kickin' it.
