This is so true! I currently work in Jamaica, Queens, and the reverse commute to work is great!! If I drive, it takes about 15-20 minutes. If I take the train, with the transfer from the 7 to the E, it is maybe, a half hour and the train is EMPTY!!! While I miss working in Manhattan and the "lifestyle", I do also enjoy that there is no pushing, shoving and stepping on me anymore with the packed subway commute in the morning/afternoon!! BUT since I am looking for a new job, I will probably end up back in Manhattan!! |
