I heard that the mom had gestational diabetes that went unchecked and untreated, hence the baby's large size.

Cops say man placed objects in sandwich, then claimed injury

Thursday, January 20, 2005
By Michaelangelo Conte
Journal staff writer

WEST NEW YORK (NJ) - A Cliffside Park man has been charged with cutting his own mouth with a razor and stuffing his McDonald's chicken sandwich with staples and a paper clip in an apparent copycat attempt to cash in with a lawsuit against the company, officials said.

The incident follows a lawsuit filed earlier this month by Beatriz Bermeo of North Bergen against the same Bergenline Avenue McDonald's, in which she claims she ingested five needles that were inside her chicken sandwich.

At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, West New York police arrested Jose Rodriguez, 48, and charged him with supplying a false report to law enforcement and tampering with or fabricating evidence, Capt. Robert Antolos said.

I can't EVEN fathom giving birth to a baby that big. Not to mention carrying him for 9 months. He's precious though.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (AP) -- A woman angry with her 12-year-old daughter for having sex forced the girl to drink bleach and sat on her until the child died, a police detective said.

The girl's 9-year-old brother was forced to watch the attack, Detective Warren Cotton testified Thursday in a preliminary hearing for Tunisia Archie, 31.

Archie is charged with capital murder in the asphyxiation death of her daughter Jasmine. If convicted, she could be sentenced to death or life in prison without parole.

Cotton said Archie, who has been jailed without bond since shortly after her daughter's Nov. 26 death, told authorities she was disturbed because "her daughter told her that she was no longer a virgin."

She said she poured bleach into Jasmine's mouth and the child vomited, he said, then sat on her until she stopped breathing, Cotton testified.

Archie forced Jasmine's 9-year-old brother Jacorey to watch the attack and "told him that if he shed a tear that she was going to kill him, too," Cotton testified

This happened the day after thanksgiving and everyone I know was devestated. How could you do this to your child? BTW, she's trying to claim insanity. No one here in B'ham is buying it.

Ademilton was huge

It seems like we've had, within the past month, tales of baby extremes. Here's a pix of Rumaisa, the babyperson in Chicago who weighed 8 ounces at birth. This Brazilian Web site said that Ademilton was 31 times the size of Rumaisa at birth.

What freaks me out a lot about the story of Rumaisa is that I've had many dreams that I'm pregnant, about to give birth, and when I do, the baby is too tiny to survive. While Rumaisa did survive, it still hits close to home.
