Too Funny!!

It's seems to me like she has a long way to go before she attempts to join anything. She needs to get it together. Thats all I can say about that. When you step to someone, you step correct. There isn't any half stepping going on in Delta. Delta's shouldn't have to go out of their way to get to know anyone. If there is anyone worth knowing, they will have their stuff in order. You accomplishments should speak for you. Your community service, your campus involvement, your reputation, everything. If you have your stuff together, then you should be fine. I don't see what the problem is?!?! Maybe it's just me?!?!?! Sorry if I am coming off wrong, I just can't understand:confused:

well, one thing i'm confused about is your command of the English language and syntax, both here and in the other forums... (<-- proper use of an ellipse)

i was going to avoid this thread, but dangit, you forced me to respond. i really think that you've gotten both ahead of yourself and beside yourself. when your interest began in my sorority, you should've just chilled and observed the way other interested ladies were expressing their interest. as it has been broken down to you before, there really was no need for you to call the sorors about your interest and you shouldn't have expected them to jump at the opportunity to discuss membership with you. all you need to know and all that we are allowed to share with you is published on our national web site. and something that you should have figured out is that we don't recruit interested people.

you've gotten a little beside yourself on this message board. in life, when ever you want something that you have to work for, you should humble yourself to your quest to attain it. snappy comments won't encourage anyone to aid you in your quest for clarity.

Sorors,
Let's be careful. I'm beginning to think that this might be a set up.

Oh NO, you didn't!!!

I know a lot of folks who are "smart" but don't always convey that intelligence.

I am not questioning your intelligence, but I am questioning your ability to take GOOD ADVICE given to you by people who are MEMBERS.

Take it or leave it but YOUR LANGUAGE has GOT TO GO!!

P.S. I meant what I said, if you are not a member of Delta Sigma Theta, do not hit the reply or the quote button in this thread. September26libr is exempt.

Now you are out of line. My sorors have been surprisingly nice to you, given the questions you are asking, they way you have worded your posts, and the tone of your posts.

First, a 3.5 just means that you are smart and passed the class. It has no bearing on your use of the english language. The evidence of this is your continuing use of fragments to express yourself.

Second, we take all matters concerning Delta Sigma Theta to heart because we love her and we only want the best for her. When someone expresses interest, we take a serious look at how this person is presenting themselves. Right now, your presentation sucks.

Third, DST is positive, uplifting and fun. If this constructive criticism is making you think otherwise, maybe you need to re-evaluate your interest in Delta.

You have been given a lot of great advice on how to proceed. I suggest you take it to heart and act upon it. When my sorors on your campus open the doors to Delta, they are going to be looking for young ladies who are leaders both on campus and in the community. They are going to be looking for young ladies who take initiative in finding out everything that is publicly available about Delta Sigma Theta and its members. It is going to take you coming out of your comfort zone of internet research and email. You are going to have to talk to my sorors, show up at programs, show up at community service events, and let them see what you are about through your actions. Now, I suggest you calm down, take everything in, and go about your quest for Delta.

Good Luck!

Well, I tried to be nice and PM the young lady to give her some pointers. I have yet to recieve a response. Oh well, I see where my good intentions get me. I wish her the best of luck...in joining whatever org. she "chooses".

I am happy to see that you a such a high GPA. However, you need more than that to achieve memebership into any org. That is where RESEARCH comes in. You need to find the right choice for you. When you do this the org that is positive, uplifting, and fun for YOU will be self evident. I will end this with a quote that was told to me by my favorite Delta...she told me that "Delta seeks no one, wish women seek Delta"!!!!
Good Luck.
