They can colonize, but not necessarily be recognized. And also I guess I'm talking about this from a more NPC perspective...I'll pm you :)

I would send all future correspondence, email, etc. "Cc" to the VP of Student Affairs. The knowledge that the big boss is monitoring this usually speeds things up. I know as a Greek Advisor, when I run into problems with other departments, staff, etc. If I start cc'ing the big boss, the situation improves immediately!

Before I quit the group and rushed Phi Sig (which might sound less than inspiring to you--but it was right for me), the Greek advisor at my school spent the longest time not responding to anything that was send to her by PiLam nationals. I later realized, however, that this was not too bad because there were simply dozens upon dozens of groups constantly contacting her about expansion that really didn't know what they were getting into or even why they were doing it. Eventually a member of the pilam nationals actually came into town and we scheduled a sit-down meeting with the Greek advisor. That got things working real quick and everything went very smoothly after that...until of course I realized I belonged in a group that was already here. But again, that's beside the point.

I've been out of the loop for a few days thanks to my crazy pc, but I wanted to thank everyone for their responses. I've gained some knowledge that will hopefully help me with my struggle. Thanks again! ~Pecan~

There are chapters of Latino/a and Multicultural groups at many HBCU schools, so this isn't a stretch by any means. |
What is a HBCU? Thanks!
