This is a little late, but I just began using the Member Search. Why cant you just put in her name and leave all the other fields blank?

That seemed to work for me.

At the time I did

But get this now the stupid thing works. One minute it says I'm the only DG member then it lists everyone. Sooooo annoying.

I have officially given up on understanding the logic to the website.

i made it i made it

Took me a while and a little figuring out. But I finally was able to sign on.

Can't blame ADPi though . . . turns out I was putting the incorrect initiation year. . . i know crazy me. . . I thought I was initiated a year before I was. (long story short didn't get initiated at right time because of grades use to happen before quick alpha initiation I think I was the last "pledge" at my chapter)

Don't give up if you cant get on . . . lots of interesting information in the "my adpi" section.

This isnt exactly a frustration but I'm a little baffled. I was on the site trying to figure out who to contact EO regarding membership number and I came across this page where I saw one of the printers is wearing an adpi lettered tshirt (scroll down and you'll see it). I was a little confused because as far as I remember, I was told that unless you're an adpi you cant wear our letters even if you're lavaliered etc. Quite frankly I never understood the whole wearing another GLOs letters but anyways you would think that EO would get it right? Maybe Ive got it all wrong...

At our school, you could wear an organization's t-shirt or lavilier IF you were laviliered or pinned. We actually had a few boyfriends, now husbands, of sisters who proudly wore our letters to support us.

texas*princess 01-22-2005 10:09 AM

wow.. that IS baffling.

While other orgs wear our letters all the time (like homecoming shirts, mixer shirts, etc, that say "ABC fraternity and ADP, or the ADP MOM tshirts/keychains whatever), that isn't a mixer shirt... it's the 4-inch letters.. all by themselves.... and if I weren't an ADPi or knew anything about sororities, that would lead me to believe he was an ADPi :p

hmm.

Sorry to bring up such an old thread....
But...
I just updated my address on the adpi web and I noticed the "will serve" form is no longer a part of that update. How do I let headquarters know that I'm interested in volunteering with a chapter or house corp, and would like to become involved with my local alumnae association now? Is there still a will serve form in the last Adelphean?

What do you want to do? The incoming pres of the AA is getting ready to slate her board, the AA actually has a lunch bunch today, I'm on the closest chapter's house corp. I can put you in touch with lots of people. Call me. I think I sent you my phone # in a pm awhile back. Are y'all all settled in yet? Let me know and I can give you some names and contacts. Glad you're here!

You can also go into the "MyADPi" section - there is a part called "Getting Involved" and another "bubble" gives you the Alumnae Involvement Form to fill out.

hmm.

We never made a big fuss about our letters. Of course, I'm talking ADPis, parents of ADPis (there used to be a GREAT "Alpha Daddy Pi" t-shirt!!), and children of ADPis t-shirt & such. I personally don't have a problem with a man who works at EO wearing our letters - he probably has done more for ADPi than half of the sisters will ever do! But that whole "earn your letters" bit always seems a little silly to me - now, the crest is a different story!!

As for volunteering, adpi*nurse, just tell anyone involved with EO, and you're bound to be properly used! They may ask you for something that doesn't "fit" you, but just speak up. I've done 3-4 different jobs, with varying degrees of success, but if I had just stuck with the first position, I wouldn't have been a big help to me OR ADPi! Good luck!!

FYI - The Alumnae Involvement Profile replaced the "Will Serve" form.

adpi*violet 12-09-2005 08:53 PM

Thank you ladies. That is exactly the form I was looking for. :)
