Believe me, Black people are talking about it. A whole lot. You don't hear about that for the same reasons why you don't hear about a lot of other things going on in the Black community other than the negative things. It isn't the Black people talking about it that is going to get the attention, though and I don't think the Black Alabamians are the least bit surprised that this happened. If anything, those people are friggin tired and worn out putting up with the crap about of those folks down there.

I don't know anything about Alabama really or the crap they put up with.
But I do know that this wasn't fought. It wasn't fought by conservatives or liberals, it wasn't fought by blacks or whites, and got little coverage after the fact.
I am guessing and nobody has to accept it but I think that it may be tied to something politically embarassing - ie someone who is now close to the black community, etc. But this is a guess among many and regardless of whatever it is, this is a shame, disgusting, and inexcusable.
