Why? Well, it just shows how friggen stupid Chapters can be...
What happened to waiting for the investigation and the facts to come out? Or you the only one who's allowed to draw conclusions while saying they should not be? |
What?
You trying to emulate me in typing?:( I am sure We all are waiting for a true investigation in this situation. |
Gtown used to do the "AMs kidnap actives" thing...it was
called "walkout"...was alot of fun. Idea was to kidnap some actives and leave campus; remaining actives go on a hunt to find the trespassers; when found, it turned into a big party. The date was supposed to be secret, but with tight schedules, on my year, the actives figured out when it was. A couple of guys were dressed and ready to be kidnapped...they couldn't wait (kidnap me! kidnap me!) Oh well, so much for the old days. |
Ya that is what we did, except we made it a challenge to kidnap the brother, like no one would go willingly. But afterwards we all had a good time and had fun together. We have a hazing education session tomorrow so that we could avoid future hazing activies like these...lol

Ah, walkout...those halcyon days of yesteryear when the AM's kidnapped actives, sometimes as they were walking out of class on a Friday (having already procured the guy's toothbrush, in one instance) and dragged them to another chapter for a weekend of male bonding and debauchery.
Speaking as an elder GC statesman, I won't go into details because we try to lead by example & precept, yadayadayada. When I was a sophomore, I was one of the kidnapped actives. We trundled up to Wisconsin-Whitewater for the aforementioned activities, but what I remember most is the trip back to school. The car I was traveling in stopped for a potty break, and I was the last one to use the facilities. As I stepped into the gas station parking lot, I was met w/a hail of gravel. Yup...my bro's peeled out of the lot and left me stuck in beautiful Mendota, IL. Nowadays, some newspaper would probably say I'd filed a lawsuit against them (pranks aren't the same anymore). I went to the local grocer and used an old lettuce box to make a sign that said "Bloomington-Normal". I was standing by Rte. 51 for just a few minutes when a souped-up Plymouth RoadRunner pulled over to give me a lift. Turns out the driver was my age, but had enlisted in the Air Force and was heading down to visit buddies @ Chanute AFB near Champaign. I hopped in to this monster car and we headed down 51 @ 85MPH. The best part of this whole thing was that I got back to the house before the guys that dumped me. They walked in while I was standing in line for brunch--all I can do is smile when I think of how their jaws dropped when they saw I'd beaten them back to school. ZAX, BF |
