Ditto all the comments on Soror Rae Lewis-Thornton. She is an inspirational speaker. I love the fact that she is very open and direct when she speaks about her life. I heard her at Malcolm X College in Chicago. There were also teens there and I think her frank manner of speaking really appealed to them.

It has been shown that to get audiences to relate what you are saying, you have to speak their language and not use euphemisms. The sad thing is many governement agencies that fund AIDS service orgs, prevent them from using graphic language in their marketing tools.

It is folx like Rae that are not bound by these retraints that get the message out the best.

I just came from the Lyceum featuring Soror Rae Lewis-Thornton. Beautiful as always and still a compelling message.

She has a book: Amazing Grace ~ Letters Along My Journey $14.95 that I purchased and had autographed. We took a pic together as well with 2 other Sorors. :)
