If you are thinking about quitting just because you aren't instant best friends with your big sister, maybe you're not mature enough to be a member of a women's group. Didn't you rush for lifelong friendships and good times? You might call 100 people your sister, but to call someone friend takes time. It's not all on your big sister. How long has it been? A week? Everyone in your chapter is new to you. Give it a chance.

Or if you absolutely must depledge because everyone else is having so much more fun than you.... I'm sorry, but you're completely missing the point.

Whoa, simmer down - no need to rip her a new one. If you feel like everyone else is having a better time than you, it does suck, so try to put yourself in her shoes. That sucks even after you're LONG out of school.

I was lucky with my big, until she deactivated. Then I was a junior, coming back from abroad, and she was gone (there was a lot to it) then i got my lil. We are totally different. Like roxy/LilStar said, our chapter has this trend of putting the wild ones (me in this case) with the quiet and tame ones ( my lil) we were never close. It is a shoot in the dark when you pair women up. Some get along great, some fight like the dickens, but the reality is, is that a sorority is made up of a number of different women. YOU WILL NEVER GET ALONG WITH EVERYONE. learn it now and just figure out a way to be civil and have some kind of relationship. My 'adopted' big is my best friend (I decided to 'adopt' when mine left) Sororities have a lot to do with interpersonal relationships and challenging yourself to see beyond just yourself. You will be better off in the long run, just consider this your first challenge.

If you repledge, fine, that's up to you. But if you re-pledge the same org, you will probably get the same big. or that is how we did it.

calm down ..i am knew to this whole thing and and i was just seeking advice, there is no need to be completely rude.. you know nothing about my maturity level or me.. and everyone goes threw new and difficult times where they need support.
