Another 90210 fan here!

As for movies, I've been trying to get Shining Through on dvd for a while now, and can only get it on tape. :( It's one of my favorite movies!

And the TV and movie studios want ya to spend more on 'em... when they realized that it's a major source of revenue (especially when it's needed to recoup ever-increasing production costs).
