In Edmond Oklahoma

Me and my cousin bought a house and the total cost was 250,000 but the monthly loan payments are 1,500 a month. But my dad covers 500 and we just pay 500 a piece so its not that bad. its a pretty new house so it is insulated pretty well so the utilities are not very high. but it is 4 bedroom so we are lookin for some more roomates. that will nock the rent down alot. damn i am glad i dont live up north. this house is like 32 hundred square feet in a nice part of town and is not nearly as expensive as some of the houses up north.

I pay $710 a month for a 798 sq ft. 1 bdrm/1 bath apartment. It is a brand new complex in Lewisville and I love it.

My rent is $260 every month. I live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom duplex with two of my sorority sisters. Our utilities are pretty cheap, and we each pay about $30/month for cable and internet. I have the biggest bedroom, it's at least 3 times the size of the bedroom downstairs and twice as big as the other bedroom upstairs. Plus I have the biggest closet. :D We all pay the same in rent every month though so I am not complaining...;)

I wish I could have a dog here though :(

We're paying $850 a month for a 2 bedroom in an awesome neighborhood. It's cheap here.

We're paying $819 for a 2br/2ba in a suburb just outside of Orlando. We rented the exact same apartment (layout, amenities, everything) in Sanford, about 15 miles north of our current place for only $649 a month. Its amazing how much those few miles can change the cost.

We pay a $2300 mortgage on a 3 bedroom 2 bath on 5 acres. That includes our taxes, insurance and other escrow items.

I pay just under $1100/month for a 1200 sq ft 2 BR/2BA condo. That includes my homeowners association fees, taxes, and all that great crap. Damn PMI.

I was paying $450/month to rent a closet from a friend of a friend... I needed my own place!

I'm paying $300/mo to live in a tri-level, 3 bedroom house with 2 roommates. Not complaining though - - we have a sunroom, fireplace, hot tub, wet bar, and garage!

Wow, reading up on all of your cheap rents makes me more and more want to get the H out of NYC!!!!!!!

Jill1228 10-05-2004 12:29 PM

Where are you in So Cal? We are eventually looking to move there!

Right now in Surrey, BC Mr. 1228 and I have a 3 BR 1.75 bath with a full basement and loft and pay $1100 Canadian (if you convert it into US at today's rate it is $873 US a month). We were lucky to find a place that allows pets (I have 2 cats)

Holding off until we find out where we want to settle...sigh

Haha I know what you mean. A lot of the rents that people have posted on here wouldn't even get you a cardboard box in a prime location in Central Park.

Two words of advice: Never move!

I want a two bedroom in Manhattan for $700.

Oh trust me, we never plan on it. Like I said, the landlord hates us.;)
