i can't stand all my uncles (mother's brothers) wives
one is forty, thinks she is eighteen and wears her make up similar to bozo! one tells me and my cousin all time that my uncle will not be leaving his land to us since she is around (in front of him, mind you) the other is a perfectionist and super snotty and hardly comes around, because we wear jeans...all the time and the other one always brags what he buys her and flashes her ghetto fabulous rings all over the place (he buys us more, but we are not suppose to tell her) |
In-laws. It's not pretty.

Fortunately, it's not a close relation, but my cousin's mother-in-law is such a twit! I have met the woman scads of times, yet each time the family gets together, she comes up and says "I don't believe we've met." She and her husband are also the most unbelivable snobs.
Hell, yeah, we've met - I even went to high school with your oldest daughter. |

I have an aunt who I love, I really do......but she makes me crazy. She is 14 years older than I and yet I constantly have to be the one to take care of her and give her advice. She is also very self-destructive....she's terrified of getting sick or dying young and yet she refuses to take care of herself. She has been totally paranoid about heart disease ever since my mom (her big sister) died 3 1/2 years ago but she continues to get more and more obese.
She calls me and vents about how unhappy she is about pretty much everything in her life.....it is very depressing. I wish she could be fun like she used to be. I also wish she would take care of herself because she had her kids later in life than my mom did and if she kills herself with food and inactivity they're going to be a lot younger when they lose her than I was. |
i have an older cousin who is a bit of a weirdo (i won't say i can't stand her). she's the kind that gives A spoon for Christmas or A votive candle. she reuses pancake syrup, which means that there are crumbs of pancake past floating in the bottle. she also hates for people to use more than 2 squares of her toilet paper (which means that when i visit, which aint very often, i don't use her bathroom :o  )
now, i do have a cousin who repulses me. she is 2 years older than me and had 5 kids by age 20 and is a crackhead. she would abandon her kids for days at a time. she's not worthy of motherhood. there's so much i could say, but i won't. i'll just leave it at this: she is NOT welcomed around me or my family. |

I have a few, but I won't tell how they are related to me. All I could see it is a three generation branch in my family tree on my father's side.

Well, I loved my late uncle, but I am still annoyed that he left all his money to anti-vivisectionists instead of me and my sisters. I really don't get it. What did they do to deserve it? I guess blood isn't that thick. *shrug*

Back on topic: Yes... there are family members I can't stand. But it's usually the ones who can't stand me because I went to university and... you know ... did something with my life. Blah. |
Oh yeah you got family members who drink "Hater-ade" too? The ones who got the "crabs in a basket syndrome"?
"You think you are all that" "Or you think you are better than us because": a) you went to college b) you have a steady job c)you live in a good neighborhood etc etc etc. Yup, I guess we are related huh? :D Welcome to the family, cuz :D Quote:
