I can't decide what my feelings are about sorority women who pose for Playboy and reveal their affiliation. On one hand, Playboy models are all gorgeous and who wouldn't want to be able to say their sister "made the grade" so to speak? On the other hand, they do have their bits and pieces out there on display for anyone with five bucks (or however much Playboy costs these days) to see.

In the end, it's up to the individual woman and she should be prepared for the consequences, if any.

If she wants to pose for a magazine that's her choice. However if she used the composite in the photo shoot and her sisters faces are visible in the layout is there recourse for that chapter?. I'd be suprised that they would give permission for their faces to be shown in Playboy.

There was a bunch of talk after the last issue came out of one of the girls having been a member of the AOPi chapter at GMU who transferred in the middle or after freshman year. A large number of guys recognized her from a few years back. However there is some debate as to whether she was actually initiated or if she just pledged.

The picture is *from* the composite but it's not the actual composite. So it's basically like a school picture. Underneath it says, "KD Sorority".

James, you should read up on some of the statistics available on the prevalance of porn vs. domestic violence, and what CATs and MRIs can reveal is going on in the brains of violent sexual offenders when they view (even soft-core) pornography.

While I don't have a problem with her posing, I think there's certainly enough evidence to show porn might be a lot less harmless than we think. And for that reason she probably should've left her letters off the page -- the jury is still out for too many people.

I think she has the right to pose, even as a KD active. But she should keep her affiliation OUT. She knew going into it it would be a controversial issue.

If she were a Phi Mu active, I think there'd probably be about a 60% chance she'd have her badge yanked by the chapter. (Well, only nationals can really take a badge, so I should say I think the chapter would SUGGEST it be yanked.)

BUT, I'm pretty sure she mentioned having graduated. Which means she's not a collegiate. Which means KD nationals probably isn't going to do anything about it. (I don't think Phi Mu nationals would.) If we went after every alumna member who was published in bad light........ oy.
