I am addicted to magazines, but right now I am broke so I had to just go ahead and subscribe to the magazines I was going to read and not buy anymore off the rack. I subscribe to Real Simple, Money Magazine and Essence. Real Simple is an excellent resource for living. I love the recipes and the tips. Of course Money keeps me up to date with financial issues and Essence - no explanation needed. I also don't really like Oprah's magazine b/c I think it tries to do too much for too many.

I bought an issue of "Lucky" yesterday...so far so good! Cute outfits and pretty good beauty tips. Not bad for a thick mag for just $2.95. I might be subscribe to both "Lucky" and "Domino" :) Now I just need to check out Essence, Glamour, Allure, etc. and I'm set :D

For a slightly older-skewing mag, check out Shop Etc. It's sort of like Lucky, but it's more geared to people in their 30s and 40s. They have coupons, which I've used to get some decent deals on stuff.

I like "O" but its not one I would get a subscription to though. That's the same way I feel about Essense though.

Check the back of your LUCKY mag. They have free giveaways monthly and coupons. I have yet to win anything. But hey, you never know!!

I subscribe to so many magazines that I don't have to read them all. I only bought the O issue with the Legends Ball. I noticed Vivica has put out her Jolie magazine. I think she teamed up with editors of Black Hairstyles and Trends. I just wish Vivica wasn't in nearly every other picture. Hopefully things will change and the magazine evolves and survives.
