I'm in the middle of reading Sister Secrets. It's good but it has waaaay too many characters. I have a hard time keeping up with the girls' names. I didn't know there was a sequel. I'll be looking out for it when I'm done.

I read Sister Secrets, Beyond Our Mothers Footsteps and Soroity Sisters and I must say that they are all really good books! I finished all three in about three weeks! The plot twists and characters made Sister Secrets hard to understand but once you get it the book takes on a whole new meaning!

I loved Sister Secrets, however, one has to have a great deal of patients. The mystery and spiritual basis was intriguing, but it's not for everyone. I read Sister Secreets first, Beyond Our Mother's Footsteps and then Sister Secrets again, just to clear up a lot of issues that bothered me before.

One has to have a great deal of patience, not patients, sorry folks.

Hey Sorors, Sisterfriends and Gentlemen:
I have the book Sister Secrest sitting on my nightstand right now. I can't wait to crack it open. I went on a book buying frenzy and bought three books on one day...Sister Secrets, Sorority Sisters (good book) and Single Mom (Great Book!!!). I am about to read Sister Secrets and look forward to the mystery and secrets I've read about on this page and in other forums. PEACE |
Sister Secrets is a great book despite the numerous characters and names of fraternities and sororities. I really enjoyed it though. Sorority Sisters was also an excellent book. I read it in a day! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I liked the two James books, but the first better than the second.
I didn't like the Butler book, too fluff for my personal tastes. But I didn't like how women came off in all three. I thought BJ's books had manipulative heroines, and TB's were goofy. But it's just me. I did like TB's happy ending though. One thing I can say, is that seeing what Breggie James has done has inspired me to think about self-publishing as well. I will just have a better editor. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif |
Breggie James is my aunt and she is a Delta she pledged at Central Missouri State University the Zeta Lambda chapter.

Wow, that's cool. I wish I knew someone who wrote books. I'm glad you bumped this, I just started reading it last week. Apparently, someone gave it to me last year, but I didn't take it home with me. My sister gave it to me last week, saying I'd left it at her friend's house after she bought it for me, how come I didn't take it? I'm only half-way done, so far I just keep reading the first few chapters over and over, I'M SO CONFUSED. I'll move on after I can get the beginning straight.

Anyone else ready T.B.'s book? I kind of read it on accident, I thought it was about something else when I picked it up, but I enjoyed it anyway. I liked how all the girl's backgrounds affected how they acted in the present. Most authors have their characters acting crazy or with major attitudes and don't explain what made them that way. |
