whats the deal with them merging with this other place?

Anyone having problems getting on lj? I've been trying to even get to the page and it won't go. My friend had no trouble though.

No, I was just over a few minutes ago and had no problem.

I'm convinced that it's something with my computer. But I've deleted cookies, temp internet files, all that crap. For some reason my computer just won't let me in.

What browser are you using? And I'm assuming you're at home, not work?

I'm using Internet Explorer. Yeah I'm at work, not home. I pretty much sit on my ass for 8 hours doing nothing.

Do you have Netscape at work also? Try doing that and see if it helps.

No Netscape here. I think it might be IE cuz my friend signed on perfectly fine but I'm pretty sure she was using AOL.

That's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

I just tried to access LJ from my computer as a scientific experiment of sorts. Being the scientist that I am, I accidentally typed in "liverjournal." When I finally realized why I got to a page about getting on a transplant waiting list and retyped the URL, I got to LJ and it worked.

Nah I work for my parents and I'm the only one in the office so I get the joys of having control over the computer.

OK, a few things that may or may not help:
disconnect the internet, wait like 30 seconds and reconnect.
Reboot.
See if you can get to LJ through a google search for it
Try going to a specific LJ site not just livejournal.com

Try those individually, not all at once ;)
