You know, the world didn't end when Margaret Thatcher was PM.

I have no problem with a female head of state. Just so long as they're not elected because they're female.

In the US, I can think of just a couple that wouldn't bug me too much. Mrs. Dole would be nice, but Condoleeza Rice could be a great President.

I'm co-signing with your first statement.

Dole could be good, Rice, the jury is out on her. Would like to see her on her own for once.

Yes because Pakistan attempted to invade India and prior and after that corrupt woman, everything was peachy keen with India.

Personally I see no problem with a female head of state (and technically I have one ;) )... if looking for an example: the UK with Margret Thatcher (and the Queen too).

no i just didn't want to start a war of words that i really don't care to get into.

i don't think we should have a female president cause i have yet to see one worth giving my vote to. thats why don't, jump all over me and think i am an idiot, cause I am not.

INteresting, and maybe it's true that there isnt' one worth giving your vote to (that you know of) but can you say that possibility that somewhere in the next 10-15 years one could emerge?

One of the last litmus tests I would use to decide for whom to vote would be which restroom he or she uses.

I'd seriously consider voting for Elizabeth Dole OR Condalezza Rice, even volunteered for the short Dole Presidential run a few years ago.

We need another Clinton in office. Lets go Hillary. ;) :p

To be nice, Im just going to say that theres no woman I would vote for NOW.

KSigkid 08-12-2004 02:26 PM

I wouldn't have a problem with a woman head of state - but like ktsnake said, I would have a problem if she was elected heavily on the basis of being female.

I'll pay for airplane ticket to send her to Georgia. Then we'll both be happy.

Thats fine with me she could probably do better than Saxby or Sonny Purdue.

Not worth giving your vote to..

Weren't most Dems saying that about Kerry before the Dean screaming fits?

Perceptions can change with time. The thing is that thus far, no woman has really been marketed well for that top job. And it's all about marketing these days.

well i guess i will be open to this but she better be a damn good one or else she will be in more hot water than any president ever, thats a reason i don't think we should have one, her entire term would be under the worst microscope. she could be the best president ever and the media would destroy her.
