I have short eyelashes...I'd give anything to have them a little longer. I've even tried putting on fake ones but they're just too tiny to work with.

But the mascara I do use every now and then is Mary Kay in the silver container.

I tried high-end stuff, and still go back to CoverGirl Waterproof. It doesn't flake if your lashes get wet, and will come off with a make-up remover pad.

I also find it doesn't irritate my eyes either, where some other ones did.

I would never buy it again...(actually, I think I got it free at a sale when I bought eye shadow)... It's too thick, unless you like that uni-eyelash look.

Eyelash combs fix that.

I usually just get my mascara from the free gifts with purchase at Macy's. I don't go thru it quick enough to actually buy it.

I did like Clinique's waterproof mascara. I didn't wear it as much because I, for some reason, have really bad experiences with eye makeup remover... so I can't always take it off.

I don't wear it much during the summer because my eyes itch from allergies and I end up with irritated eyes.

Let us bow our heads in a moment of silence for Cover Girl's Marathon Mascara in the neon green tube. T'was my 80's eye staple and nothing short of a nuclear explosion would remove that fine isht from my lashes.

i like maybelline full and soft because it doesn't make lashes all brittle and scary looking lol and i can still touch them without like scratching my fingers.... waterproof in very black is what i use

Tried it more then once... either ended up pulling it all off because it was all nothing but glops (even brand new), or pulling out lashes with it.

I use Lancome Definicils waterproof. It's not too bad, can be a little clumpy, but that's easily taken care of by cleaning off the wand every so often.

I have med. brown hair and LOVE it.... your lashes look thick enough you don't need eyeliner.

Since I'm no longer blonde (still can't believe I bleached my hair blonde while 15-19!!), I can't tell for sure, but I would think that the brown or auburn shades might pass the "non-slutty" test.

And I highly doubt that you look sluttier than you think! ;)

oooh, good call, Honey. In high school I had to pretend I wasn't wearing makeup (my parents were very strict but not very observant) so I would wear dark brown mascara.

Sounds stupid (like the clear mascara -- what's up with that?) but it worked great. Made my eyes look prettier but without looking like I was trying. Would've been good for, say, going on a 1st date to a ballpark or something and not wanting to look like you put on much makeup.

Honey -- don't you think people MUST not realize how they look?! Sometimes I see women out (think Frau in Austin Powers 3, where she sneaks into the prison to visit Dr. Evil and she's wearing a shirt open to below her bra, boobs pushed up under her chest, HUGE dried-out frizzy hair with like 2 inch roots, way too much eyemakeup, tight clothes, and carrying a Hardee's bag.) If I want to retain my faith in humanity I think people like that MUST not realize what they look like!

sidenote: when I was in college and in the dorms, we had one of those medicine cabinet mirrors but no full-length one. I used to wear this dress ALL THE TIME that was very cute.... from the waist up. Then I went home for the summer and was like, OK this is now a carwash rag.
