It really seems that announcements are going out of style around here. I don't particularly get it. Now the smaller local papers give much more coverage of engagements and weddings vs. the main city paper. I rarely see GLO affliations mentioned here. I wonder if it's more of a regional thing these days?

In the announcements in Houston affiliation is definately stated along with any sisters or brothers that participated in the ceremony.

I live in Michigan, where this is definitely not a common practice.... However, I would LOVE to have my affiliation listed. :) It just seems like a nice addition.

I've seen that on occasion in announcements here, but not every time.

Most places around here will publish whatever information you provide for the announcements. If you include fraternity/sorority affiliation, they'll include it.

I've lived all over the southeast and now TX. Its pretty common here.

Now, if I could only figure out how to get a wedding announcement. ;)
