Now let's talk about telling a reporter to shove it versus saying "F---" on the floor of the Senate, shall we?

Again, one was an accident that a lot of people make. The Democratic party never even brings this up because they know it's a foolish thing to bring up.

As for saying "Shove it", it's within the context of the many other things she's said. And that is why Democrats themselves are worried about her and have told Kerry to shut her up.

Now that I have had some time to mull it over, I think that I prefer Teresa Heinz Kerry.

Badgering her?

Badgering is how it was described here and here.

I prefer Laura over Teresa. Laura is more polished, refined, and gracious (as others have stated). She speaks her mind, but maintains her social grace at the same time.

I find Teresa to be a loud mouth broad that irrates me for some reason. Gosh every time I see or hear her, it reminds me of someone runniing their finger nails across a chalkboard.

Yep, its Laura.

Those papers can call it what they want. He questioned her on something she said. She walked away and then came back to tell him she knew what paper he was from, that he misrepresented her and then told him to shove it. In her interview with Katie Couric today she said she didn't know who he was (yet she knew who he was before when she said his paper) and then claimed she was misrepresented when she said "We have to turn back some of the creeping un-Pennsylvanian and sometimes un-American tirades that are coming into some of our politics.’”

Anyway, this is really about her not being able to control what she says and not being the best voice in public. Her favorite comment of mine was when she told a 1,000 guests at a Women for Kerry breakfast "We had better get you women some birth control, there are so many of you here. "

Of course Dems have been going after Bush for the Bushism forever so this is only fair - and no matter what Heinz says to the public, the Dems have asked Theresa to shutup. They know she's a noodle. There are certain things people will have to accept. Republicans understand that Bush says stupid shit. We know that and it's annoying, but he ain't cooky like Theresa. We're also happy people don't get elected based on the stupid mistakes they make in daily speech, but we also recognize it's an embarassment that sticks. Right now Dems are trying to spin this mess and say she just speaks her mind and is trying to speak to the common people while telling her to stop causing embarassment.

Teresa speaking to the "common people"

Love it.

Exactly. I don't understand how Laura can be with George. He's gotta be annoying as hell. But Teresa is such an irritating woman I can see Kerry flipping out one day and saying "Listen lady, I married you for your money and, let me tell ya, I don't think the money was worth it."

Teresa Hienz Kerry in a heartbeat. With her you know exactly what you gonna get, there is no act, she does not put on a face in the media. I admire that, it takes guts not to mold herself into the cookie cutter mold of politician wife. While Laura Bush is polished, it does not come off as sincere to me.

Yeah, she's a rebel.

Please tell me what you are smoking as I would love to partake.

Did Katie toss up softballs to Heinz in the interview today? I didn't catch it, but the past few interviews with Kerry, Edwards and their families have been so soft it's disgusting. I've lost a little bit of respect for her journalistic style after watching them. In my opinion Matt Lauer has been much better with his interview style during the campaigns.

I'm sure both have their strong and weak points, but I think I'll vote for one of the husbands.

Thanks for the link. Doesn't seem like it was as bad as the others. It sounds like it was an interview I could have made it through.

Her interviews have come off as rehearsed. Just an opportunity for the interviewee to give out the latest spin. No questions are asked as to the validity of it.

I really want to respect her because she worked her way up as a journalist, and I used to have a ton of respect for the way she did interviews and worked as a newswoman.

The past year or so though, I've been extremely unimpressed. There's something to say about asking the tough questions (something Lauer does more often than Katie).
