Now that I got a T-Mobile phone...

Yes, I just got a Motorola V300 phone and a great plan (600 minutes, free nights & weekends for $40/mo.) Though I am paying about the same costs with SBC/Ameritech, their service sucks to the Nth degree. I even reported them to PUCO (Public Utilities Commission of Ohio) for false billing a few years ago. Anyway, now that I got my cell phone, I am dropping my landline. Besides, my phone got more bells and whistles than what I ever expected and I might get my money's worth w/this phone. BTW friends, SBC stands for Some Bull Chit. *LOL* |
I think I pay around $30/month, plus long distance. I discovered recently (the hard way) that my long distance carrier charges a minimum of $5/mo even if you don't make any calls.
I'd love to ditch my landline, but cell phone service where I live ranges from pathetic to nonexistent, plus I need a fax line. I'm looking into Voice over IP. |
Free... my fiance's company pays for it :)
|
i pay $42
it includes local and local plus (50 mile radius) all local calls 100 minutes long distance a month plus caller id, call waiting and all that good stuff |
When I had it... my land line was around $18/month. But I only used the line to access dial-up and simple local calls, no perks. All other calls, LD or not were made on my cell phone.
And I was on SBC. |
My package is 59.95 for unlimited long distance and bells and whistles (ie speed dial,three-way,call forwarding etc). The only thing I use is caller id and voice mail
But by the time they include all the taxes, the total is about 89. I'm with Verizon |
i just paid my home phone bill today....$46.03 from BellSouth
which is a ripoff because I get no long distance.....just call waiting, free *69, and caller ID plus our internet goes through Time Warner Cable and that bill (which is cable and internet) is $100 a month I was thinking today how I could be saving about $50 a month if I got rid of my home phone......I never really use it I have a great plan with Sprint and I never go over my minutes. Those that have switched to internet phone how is it different (besides price). I have never heard of that before....but then again I live in North Carolina where everything takes about 10 years longer to get to us |
SBC $64.31 if I make no calls that are zone, long distance, etc. That's just the line, call waiting, caller ID, voice mail, etc and up to 400 locals a month. RIP OFF. I keep getting stuff from Talk America and I'm seriously considering switching but have been trying to find people who use it to see if they're happy with it. I think I can get all the same stuff with them for $29.99
