He talked about what he told his family on 60 Minutes. They didn't know he was lying so he had to tell them that he really had an affair. I don't know what people want from him. I think that nothing short of a transcript, a videotape, or a Jimmy Swaggart type confession will satisfy people. Here is a link to the truth and marriage part of the 60 Minutes interview.

When I was watching the interview, I said aloud that people either love him or hate him. I felt psychic because Dan Rather said the same thing. I think all in all the interview was revealing. The people who love him probably still do. The people who hate him probably still do also.

Madmax, I don't know about Paula Jones.

I have to admit that I have NEVER cared for Bill Clinton, but!! Last night's interview made me at least see the charm that others see in him. I still don't respect him, or particularly care for him, but I'll certainly admit that he has a charm that most women couldn't resist.

I'll just have to respectfully disagree with you on this one DA.

No, I don't think we disagree. I don't agree with what he did. I just don't think that what he said to his family regarding the situation is our business. Even presidents are allowed some degree of privacy.

Maybe it's just me, but I found his explanation for the affair on 60 Minutes a bit pompous. How can you sit there and explain your affair to the American public as "Because I could."

I also agree with KT Snake in regards to the perjury. Getting a blowjob isn't a felony, but perjury is most certainly a felonius (funny word) act.

I thought his "Because I could" line was the most honest thing he's ever said. The opportunity presented itself and he took it, because he could. What would be an acceptable reason for adultery? Nothing.. there is no acceptable answer to the "Why?". I think most men who commit adultery do so "Because they can".

Snaps to DA.

And for all those who CONSTANTLY comment on Monica Lewinsky's size and "unattractiveness"...would it have made a difference if he'd slept with Cindy Crawford? Would it have been okay then?

(Oh, and I think, and always thought, that Monica was cute.)

Yeah, men would might have viewed it differently.

Look in conversation after conversation I have had with people, Clinton lovers made excuses for his adultery, and Clinton haters condemned him . . . most of the people that don't feel strongly about Clinton didn't seem to care.

I have seen Monica Lewinsky in real life also. We were not introduced, but she was a few feet away from me. She's not that big. She is probably the size of the average woman. That's how she appeared to me. Russ, I hope that you are kinder when you recount meeting me. :)

It's all very mysterious. Wouldn't an explanation be nice?
