Midprice retail- LOOOOOVE Woodfield, I swear to God they have everything there.

Higher prices, but not ridiculous...gotta love downtown Highland Park, which has privately owned style shops (E Street Denim) that carry hard to find brands...Paper Denim and Cloth, Three Dot, etc.

I also love shopping at Old Orchard, since it's an outdoor mall with Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Steve Madden. :)

Still, if you're willing to pay for parking, shopping in boystown beats everything else, although most of the people that work there don't really like helping you if you're a girl from the 'burbs.

in monterey, there's the del monte mall that has macys, express, gap, vickies, and some athletic stores. i'll go there every once in awhile. since this area is tourist/richy people, basically the girls shop at macy's and express, so there's not much at express.

sometimes, i go out to salinas and go to their express because there's more stuff (cause no one really shops there.)

my fave mall is valley fair in san jose. has nordstroms, tiffanys, louis, and a bunch of other stores. and across the street is santana row which has diesel, gucci, escada, and some other nice stores.

i DEFINITELY love union square in san francisco. i haven't been there in awhile, but it has almost everything. (hmm... thinking about taking a trip up there once i lose weight. SHOPPING SPREE!!!!)

Hands down it would be Carousel Center. It's the biggest shopping area here and it's supposed to be expanding. There are also the Waterloo Premium, Outlets that are about 45 minutes away. I LOVE the Coach and Timberland Outlet stores.

If you want the really high end items the best place to shop is Yorkville. It's pretty much between Avenue Rd. and Yonge on Bloor st.

Other than that all the malls are pretty much the same. Sherway Gardens is trying to go upscale though.

The Eaton Centre is a big tourist spot (why...it's probably those stupid birds) but the stores are just like any other regular mall.

The mall the is really the tourist spot in Canada is the West Edmonton mall, in of course, Edmonton, Alberta.

ETA: The Woodbine centres is great for the little kiddies as it has a small fair inside.
