I've seen quite a few Sorors in NYC wear those AKA Max sneakers (whatever they're called, lol), they are pretty popular out here. However, the name I came up with has A.K.A. as the initials "Alexis Katrice Anderson". And the first girl I have, that WILL be her name. I have always liked "A" names. My son is Aaron, and he would have been my Alexis had he been a girl. And I am lucky enough to be marrying an "Anderson" and my middle name is DeTrice (which I hate). This entire topic reminds me of all of the older Sorors in my sponsoring Grad chapter http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif The day I crossed the Grad chapter all had on AKA earings, with an AKA necklace (or 2) and an AKA watch, etc. It was like an amusement park! One younger Grad Soror took us to the side and made it a point to tell us, "ONLY 1 PIECE OF PARA AT A TIME!".

Okay Sorors, don't laugh but I DID name my daughter something similar to the name(s) that you've mentioned. It was actually my mom's idea (she's also a soror). I do think that it's very precious now and it fits her to the "T" (my daughter that is). Okay this is really bad...my little sister's name is also like that spelled *-*-A-K-A! She had the same problem at rush. They asked her to spell her name and she was like, "you know; just like it sounds".
