the Deltas were the only ones with a specific house. most times it was just a house that was being rented out by a bunch of the brothers.
|
I remember seeing a pix of it in Ebony Magazine

I know at ECU the numbers are just too low. Delta actually didn't have anyone around for a while cause everyone graduated out and finally's making a come back. But I'd love to see them or AKA with a house. I love those girls!

Two of the Latino fraternities and the multicultural fraternity have a house here at SDSU, as well as Alpha Gamma Omega.
They project that by 2006, all 15 IFC, 10 Panhellenic, and the 12 cultural GLOs (NPHC excluded) will have a house |
When I visited Vanderbilt, I noted that the fraternity row there features one house displaying the letters of three NPHC fraternities.

the alpha phi alpha guys at LSU have a house. DST looked into getting one, but the houses that are vacant right now need too much work. at least that's my understanding of the situation.

Iota Phi Theta's chapter (Nu) at the Univ. of MD- College Park has a house.
http://www.iotanovicesite.com/iotasi.../nuchapter.jpg Here is a photo of some of the chapter members standing on the steps from a few years ago. Sorry that it isn't a photo of the full house, but it was recently renovated and is very nice. *****Shameless plug****** Anyone that is in the area of the school or in the mood to take a roadtrip this weekend, the chapter is hosting it's 5th Annual BBQ at the house (7512 Princeton Ave., Saturday, 12pm). For more info, email the chapter at: nu_chapter@hotmail.com Also, the chapter at the University of Illinois (Alpha Lambda) has a house as well. (see below) http://www.iotanovicesite.com/alathouse.jpg I agree with those that have said that sizes of chapters are a major reason why more chapters do not have official houses on campuses. |

USC non-IFC/PHC w/ houses
At USC (Southern California) we actually have a lot that have houses. Two Asian fraternities, Beta Omega Phi and Gamma Epsilon Omega, have houses on or near the row (though Gammas lost their university-owned house last year and moved a couple blocks away). Alpha Rho CHi, the architecture fraternity and Sigma Phi Delta, engineering, both have houses also, and I'm sure there are a few others with houses away from the actual row that I just don't know about...

This is the Alpha House in Washington, DC, currently owned by my chapter (Mu Lambda) and under renovation. I know it's an alumni chapter house, and non-residential, but I wanted to show off anyway. :D |
Well, they're both beautiful! I'm off to search out some more!
|
I'm pretty sure I remember there being a KAPsi house at U. of KY. Not on-campus, but pretty close to it. Their chapter doesn't seem to have a webpage, though, so I can't find a picture of it.
