An NIC/NPC organization may call something hazing when NPHC orgs do not. Rules are written and interpreted differently from organization to organization. For example, an NPC group considers it hazing to have new member quizes -- and yes, that's inconsistant with NPC policy. You could almost certainly get by with it under NIC/NPHC rules though. |

I'm not clear on this post, BUT, I'll go out on a limb and say that while hazing does reflect on that bad apple, if you will, of Greek Life in general, it is NOT fair to subject those other apples/ parties/ and basically punishing those who had nothing to do with that hazing incident and have been abiding by the rules thus far. Though educating is pivotal in changing these same attitudes/actions (of considering hazing "okay"), this above mentioned workshop WAS NOT FOR educating everyone on SDSU's Greek Life, it was a response to an incident dealing with one specific org. In THAT matter, the way they went about it was wrong. Greek Orgs. are distinct by nature/designation of their development, so what did you mean by that? enigma_AKA BTW: YES, I probably would care if I had to go to a workshop concerning hazing, when a) I hadn't done so and b) because somebody else f'ed up, I had to go through that ordeal. You know how it goes...Preaching to the Choir! |
The idiots at our school newspaper called them Alpha Kappa Psi...
I'm pretty sure the AKPsi's at SDSU are pissed... |
