Completely agree with this. Well, not 100% but I've seen it a lot. Recently 2 ladies from different sororities got into a fight at a frat house over a guy. The fight got so bad, saying that they got physical is an understatement. One girl ended up in the hospital with stitches and a concussion while the other was arrested.

These types of actions paint sororities in a really bad light and ladies need to stop & think that what they do reflect on their sorority.

However, we all do nice things too b/c for Valentines Day, we sent HUGE homemade valentines to all the sororities and they all sent us thank you cards and some with flowers. Our relations can be difficult at times but we are definitely improving.

as for sororities i think we dont get along so well simply because we are always in competition whether it is during rush, greek week, you name it.

on my campus i can safely assume that most sororities do not get along. we are all catty and bitchy with each other and it sucks. its the whole notion of "we;re better than you" with no justification....it sucks....but i dont think it will change anytime soon. in the meantime the solution is just be "superficially nice" and pretend there is greek unity among sororities.

I'm sorry this has to be an exaggeration, sororities don't "hate" or "dislike" other sororities...same goes for fraternities. What happens is members dislike other members, and then apply that to the whole group which is not fair at all. I like and dislike members in every other GLO, but it has nothing to do with their respective groups, its their individual personalities that I like/dislike.

You never see all out "sorority brawls"...sororities get along, what do you think Panhellenic is for?
