According to the FR rules I received from the U of A greek life advisor, the girls are able to begin moving into the house on the 7th of August and spirit week officially begins on the 8th or the 9th of August, roughly a week and a half prior to FR beginning. They can spend up to 2000 dollars (this includes donations), but I believe the advisors are only allowing 1500 to be used (at least what I last heard, but then again the advisor I spoke to a couple months back who told me this also didn't want them to participate in FR, their special advisor appointed by GC wants them too, so it could be a non-issue right now). As soon as I know more information I will definately let y'all know.

It's so exciting to hear all you guys pull together to help a struggling chapter! I just wanted to let you know that Delta Gamma isn't the only chapter in District 6 that is working hard to stay open right now; Upsilon on Washington State doubled in numbers over last year, but had a number of members leave at the end of the year because they are burned out from working so hard at recruitment. We currently have 24 members coming back for formal Recruitment in May, and the goal is to have the house at capacity, 55, by the end of Fall semester. We could certainly use your prayers, good wishes, and support. If anybody lives in Washington or northern Idaho, I can give you information about work weekends this summer during which we will be doing a lot of painting and fixing up at the house, if you are interested. Thanks for being such great and loving ADPi sisters!!

Yes, formal is in August, I just wasn't thinking and put May by mistake. Also, total is actually 100 or so, but 55 is the official capacity of our house (the optimum amout of people to live in). We want to have the house full by the end of the semester, then keep heading towards total in the spring, maybe granting live-out status to some upperclassmen and having more freshmen move in.
