True, we are still in Germany (that's where I am now) and Japan...we are also in Korea, Guam, Spain, Iceland, Kuwait, Italy, England, and Kosovo. I can only speak for Germany, but we are certainly not operating under the same 'orders' that put us there. We are certainly not peace keeping here in Germany. In my opinion, it's more of a location thing. Additionally, MANY European bases will be closed over the next five years, including the one that currently reside at.
DeltAlum, I'm sorry to make it sound as though I group the whole of Iraq into one category. There are some who are eager for change, but we are only privy to the thoughts of those who are not. aj |
If we pull out now it might spell disaster? Really? That's distinct only to the Vietnam conflict?
DeltAlum, why don't you create a post where you list out the reasons why this resembles Vietnam. Just create a little list with numbers because your posts aren't just about Vietnam so if I refute what you say, you might not have even been talking about Vietnam (and I don't want to fall into that trap). It's Friday and I am leaving early so I'll be out of the office probably by 6pm or so; I'm sure there are no pressing production deadlines today in colorado so I look forward to what you have to say Rich. -Rudey |
