I think Dr. Rice is a woman ( black or white ) who is a role model for women. I am not sayinghtis because i too am Republican but That is no easy task that position she is in but because she is beautiful, intelligent, all around role model for any woman to look too.

IS she Alpha Chi Omega or which sorority?

I was thinking the same exac tthing when every time they mentioned dick Clarke i would think DICK CLARK...bandstand, the other half, new yr eve, etc... lol :D

Ms. Rice is an Alpha Chi Omega, who actually wears her badge quite a bit. :)

She's an Alpha Chi from the University of Denver. She's also a concert pianist, and her dream job is to be the NFL Commissioner.

My stepdad has been pushing me to read her autobiography. I browsed through it and agree that she is a very accomplished woman.

I was talking to my sister about this last night. She's a very accomplised woman, intelligent as far as education is concerned, common sense....hmmmm.

But yeah, they often do give her more grief than necessary IMO, then again she's the first, the first always has it the worse.

I have a newfound respect for her after the hearings. I think she handled herself quite nicely. However, she was VERY long-winded. I thought the exchange between her and Ben-Veniste was pretty funny.

I think that was deliberate. There was a time limit on her testimony, and the longer her statements were, the more she controlled her appearance, and limited the potential for damaging questions. She's not stupid.

Also . . being somewhat long winded gives you the ability to stray off topic and still sound like you are saying things of substance.

But yes she handled herself well.

I concur...

But she definitely controlled that conversation. The thing that makes them angry is how cool she always is. They want to see her get all "ignant" but she remains unshook.

Do you think she'd send me an autographed photo?

I didn't see all of her testimony, but she is very well spoken! Much more interesting than the boring speech she gave at my graduation.
