What? You mean her constant nattering "I'm a lawyer" as a preface to everything she says isn't a clue of what she did in her former life?

She used to be an assistant DA in Illinois. I think. I also know she was the legal correspondent for the Today show for awhile, and she had her own courtroom show for a (mercifully) brief period of time.

Good lord, I used to be an assistant public defender in Illinois -- can I have my own show?!

and does star jones even wear those payless shoes she hawks so much? b/c methinks she's in manolos all the time and wouldn't be caught dead in payless shoes. but i could be wrong.

Now, now don't knock Payless because Star Jones is a lawyer and spokesperson for their shoes.

I like Payless. But maybe that's because I'm not a lawyer so I don't know anything.

TOTALLY. That would rock. You'd have to have a catch phrase, though. I think it should be ska-bizzle. It means absolutely nothing, but you know people would be saying it inside of a week.

True, I've rocked many a pair of vinyl goodies in my day. But it's not so much the shoes as the spokesperson.

Oh, and being a somewhat plus-sized Black woman and being afraid that people will think I'm Star when I walk into the store. That keeps me out of the stores too. :D
