FORT WORTH - A man's game of keep-away with a 16-year-old girl's hairpiece turned deadly Wednesday night when the girl's mother shot the man, who had reportedly been pestering the girl, investigators said.

Detectives say Joedell Newton, 22, snatched the hair extension off the head of a 16-year-old friend, refusing to give it back unless the girl begged for it, said homicide Detective Cheryl Johnson.

The girl eventually went inside her apartment while Newton remained outside, clowning around with the fake ponytail, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

 :( :( :( A life lost over fake hair. . . .

.....Sometimes bobbing and weaving can be a deadly combination.

I saw this in another thread

My thoughts

On the hair weave snatching:

I must make sure from now on to pull my drawstring extra tight and a a few hair pins the next time I venture out wearing a phony pony.

The ebay virgin:

I hope the guy gave just a deposit first so he wouldn't get played. And how could she really prove she's a virgin. You know some women out there are tricksters.

That story about the guy is un-be-weave-able.
*Hijack*
I need to learn how to attach a phony pony. I thought about getting a clip-on one, but is there a way to cover up the banana clip? My sister put me in a phony pony last weekend.
*End hijack*

There is the drawstring phony pony that you put on by sliding the two attached combs (one in the front and the other in the back). into your hair. Once you have them secure, you pull a drawstring that makes it tight. Tuck the drawstring in and you're good to go.

Hey, I've got one of these. They are very easy to wear (no headaches) and look nice. :)

This picture reminds me of the character that Dan Ackroyd played in "Nothing But Trouble". Here's a pic:
