1. they think i am a spoiled lil rich girl because my house and car , college and all furnishings were pretty much paid for by my grandparents before, during and after marriage but in fact that they come to find out i am the most unspoiled person ever and i give thanks for the blessings i have on a daily basis.
--Quote by Cutie Ditto!!! 2. People assume that b/c I am live in a VERY small country town that I am a stupid redneck. (People also assume that I am still in this town b/c I cannot leave. -- I left and came back. I choose to stay b/c I have seen what is out there and like the small town atmosphere better...) 3. People assume that I am under 18 when I have my hair pulled back in a ponytail. (I am 25...) I get ID'd at rated R movies all of the time... 4. People assume that I "got knocked up" since I have been told by my doc to stop wearing jewelry/wedding ring. I actually had a woman hand me a bible pamphlet the other day on campus b/c she thought I was an "unmarried sinner..." I feel like wearing a big sign that says, "Stop staring... I am married, but I can't wear my ring right now!!!" Of course, I am sure this doesn't happen outside of the "Bible Belt..." |
Thats actually the definition of a redneck, someone who chooses to live in a small town in the middle of nowhere.
Its like complaining that people think you are a New Yorker because you are from New York. Quote:

1. Used as a disparaging term for a member of the white rural laboring class, especially in the southern United States. 2. A white person regarded as having a provincial, conservative, often bigoted attitude. Especially under definition number two, where one is from does not determine whether one is a redneck. There can be rednecks living in a big city. It's not the same thing as being called a New Yorker or a Chicagoan or anything like that. By your reasoning, I would be a redneck. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! I don't think they'd want to have me! |

People assume that I'm either : a.) spoiled- only child
b.) a redneck (only when I'm out of town) or c.) a whore - all my friends are mostly guys and I guess girls before getting to know me think that I sleep with all of them and more. Totally not true! |
Well lets see....
Because I oppose drugs in the chapter everyone assumes I've never touched the stuff.... very wrong. Also that because I'm older I don't think or party like the other guys.... I just have experience tell me when it's a mistake. |
1. That I'm 17yrs old or younger
2. That I'm paying attention :p 3. That I'm shy/quiet 4. That I speak spanish (working on it) |
people are often surprised when they find out i'm a huge baseball fan, i listen to classic rock, and am into technical theater and working with power tools. ...i don't really dress/act like the other girls that fit that description i guess.
it's actually beginning to get annoying. |
*that I'm much younger than I really am (I'm 22, look 16ish), and therefore I'm really immature and have no clue what's going on. Quite the opposite.
*that I'm some little quiet, innocent girl... Maybe that was me in high school, but definitely not now! *that, because I'm from New Jersey, I'll have some sort of obnoxious accent, which they'll proceed to imitate for me (that I've never actually heard anywhere in Jersey) *that, as a French major, I will be reeeeeeally impressed when they ask "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?" At least that gives me an opportunity to practice my French insults when I reply.... *that because I'm a French major and go to school in Canada, I'm completely anti-American. Get a life... |
Because I'm tall (5'10") I must have played basketball. (This was mostly while I was still in high school.) Nope. I'm uncoordinated as hell. :p

Because I like to shop, am really into clothes and like to talk about boys a lot, I think a lot of people assume I'm really ditzy. I actually graduated college with honors :) Remember, when you assume you make an ass out of you and me. :) |
People think that I must have been Miss America at some point in my life.
No really. My best friend thought I was a lesbian last year. |
