Okay, I went onto the Girl Scouts website and using the Council Finder, found this:
Girl Scouts-Bluebonnet Council, Inc Waco, Texas 76710-5347 (254) 756-4497 (800) 460-4497 - Local Toll Free Phone Web Site: http://www.bluebonnetgsc.org Maybe through them, you can find out how to get in touch with "Troop 7527" (that's the one that is left with 2 members) Good luck and tell me if you find out anything! :D |

Girl scout ccookies are not cheap anymore either!
Those little mercenaries got me for like 3 boxes and I don't even eat cookies so had to give them away. |
If we can't buy the cookies we should donate some money to the troop.
It's a shame really. Do the parents think these girls are going to be living in some pure virgin bubble for the rest of there lives? They're going to get information about sex whether the parents like it or not (and it'll probably be from their friends and it'll the worst possible information/advice ever since these girls are all from the same place). The girls should be able to go to their parents for information on sex (but apparently these parents conceived their children through immaculate conception), but if the can't go to their parents, Planned Parenthood is the next best thing. I would like to help the troop out. Scouts (or Girl Guides as it's known here) is a good thing. I was one. It'll be a shame if their troop folds. |
Not really related but oh well.
When I was a Girl Scout we'd always set up shop at the shopping center right between the Bank ATM and the entrance of Safeway. We'd see people going to the ATM because they were going into the store, and we'd get them to buy boxes. Most usually did because they felt guilty and we KNEW they had cash on them!
Years later, those Girl Scout brats are still doing the same thing and they got me giving into them. It's okay though. I got boxes of Thin Mints in my freezer so when I get a craving for them in July/August, I'm all good. |

My mother was our troop leader, too. We never sold cookies. I don't know why.

I was never a Girl Guide, but I was a Girl Guide leader for my niece's Sparks troop. So fun! How much money will you need per box? How much do they cost? Will you get them when you are over at Fred Meyer? |

So pull out your score cards folks, and chalk one up for the lefty :D |
At least some sanity has prevailed:
"But cookie sales have skyrocketed this year as many people bought cases just to show their support for the Girl Scouts, said Becky Parker, a troop leader who is the cookie distributor for Waco-area troops. "People thought the boycott was ridiculous and was one man's extremist views," Parker said. It's sad that "grownups" screw up little kids to support their own agenda. |
