much respect...

i loved that AFI show!

my #1 is definitely the Exorcist. I read the book when i was 13 and was freaked out. Then begged my mom to rent the movie. Didn't sleep soundly for a week!

#2 Whatever Happened to Baby Jane...its black and white but a serious psychological thriller!

#3 i feel you Serenity...Bamboozled was horrifying...in the sense of knowing how true that movie is and could be.

#4 Sleepaway Camp

and many others...mostly the ones that scare me are about the supernatural. i am fascinated by how in almost every movie about Satan or other supernatural forces, the Catholic Church always saves the day. That just made me want to research the Catholic Church...what do they know that other religious folx don't know? *shrugging my shoulders*

peace

I thought I was the only person who loved that movie! I was creeped out by that scene!

I have Sleepaway Camp as well...I could not believe http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif that they turned that little boy into a girl-and named him Angela-I know you remember the scene with "Angela" and the boy that liked her-(wanting to see if you noticed this as well)when they showed the boys face, he was smiling! I think that something went down http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif
The sequel and prequel (S.C. 2&3) were horrible!

I know that this didn't count as a movie, but as a child, THRILLER scared the hell out of me! http://www.mpz.co.uk/cwm/otn/evil/bgbiggrin.gif
I didn't get over that until I was about 14 http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

Classy Diva...

if you know where i can get a copy let me know! i have been trying to find it for years! Yes that movie freaked me out! the Angela twist didn't tweak me as much as when Angela (boy/girl combo) stuck the redhot curling iron in the girls....well...you remember...and the sizzling sound just made me sleep in two pairs of sleeping pants for at least 6 months...*L*

The movie that haunted me for over 15 years (i'm 29 now) was a foreign film named Susperia...there were several scenes...but especially the one where the girls, who lived in this dorm for dancers, woke up and they were covered with maggots!

And then I saw it as an adult and laughed all the way through it. Funny how things scare you as a child but are just plain amusing as an adult.

peace

I just checked www.borders.com, and they have the lowest price for Sleepaway Camp at 8.99 http://search.borders.com/fcgi -bin/db2www/search/search.d2w/QResults?doingQuickSearch=1&srchPage=QResults&keyw ord=sleepaway+camp&mediaType=Video that link will take you to the page.

I remember the curling iron scene http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif-that is what she got for sleeping with all the counselors anyway. I'm gonna check out Susperia (never heard of it), and I'll let you know what I think of it once I get it.

Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3 are also featured when you click on the link http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

the movies that use to scare me was the:

night of the living dead
day of the living dead
and
dawn of the living dead.

something about the walking dead is terrifying.

i was petrified of those 3d movies that use to come out and you had to go buy the 3d sun glasses from 7-11.
