Fave phrase " Do you not see that CAR!!!"
or "Can you slow down, at least for my own safety if you don't care about yours"

if i don't stop soon enough for my mother, she will put her hand on my dashboard ready to brace herself in case she decided to fly out the window when i don't stop at a red light

and my roomie usually tells me to drive faster or if someone cuts me off or whatever, she will honk my horn FOR ME!

They say you'll marry someone who reminds you of your parent of the same sex...

My father and my husband have to be the world's two worst back-seat drivers.

When I was learning to drive, my dad would take me out driving. He'd yell at me if I did 56 in a 55 zone. His favorite criticism was that I didn't stop long enough at stop signs. "Come to a full stop, and spell out the word S-T-O-P before you go." "Uh, Dad, the guy behind us is leaning on his horn and giving us the finger, can I please go now??" And heaven help me if I went through a yellow light, even if it turned yellow just as I was passing underneath. (When he drives, if a light turns yellow, he slams on his brakes even if it's clear that he and the three cars behind him could make it through.)

My husband is the opposite type of back-seat driver. "You're not going fast enough! You should be doing at least 80!" "Honey, it's a 55. I'm doing 70." "Well, everyone's passing you, and -- wait! COP! COP! SLOW DOWN!"

Once I finally developed a lead foot, he started telling me that I drive too fast. :p

I'm really bad about backseat driving. I can't ride around with my girlfriend driving sober. Any other time I get stressed b/c of her driving...and then she get's stressed b/c of me...and it just all gets worse from there. What do you expect when you are driving with a girl that comes to a stop on in the merging lane on a highway!!

I will pull over and say ," hey you want to drive ?"to anyone in my car if they dont like the way i drive... It drives me nuts and makes me very very nervous.

Thank you! I say the same thing. Or: "I am driving so STFU!"

My husband contradicts himself all the time. I so hate it. One minute he will tell me that I am leaving too much space between me and the car in front of me and if I don't scoot up people will start cutting me off. Then if I get closer he starts yelling that I am not leaving a 2 second distance.

Last week he told me "Use you turn signal...That is what it is there for" when I was turning on a street that I had no option as to whether I wanted to turn or not.....So I told him "Shut your month.....That is what it is there for" He didn't talk to me the rest of the time.

No one does it to me thank god, I may speed a bit but I can handle icy roads and passing and what not. I always come to a complete stop behind the line. However, I do it to only one person. I had to dig her truck out of the snowbank after she put it there, so I have earned the right. She misses stop signs all the time, almost hit a bridge one night, is so close to taking out pedestrians, and cannot park worth a damn.

Of course she has to have HUGE Ford F-150 jacked up with 4x4 she can't handle.

You know what is worse that back seat drivers? Muthatrucks that get in my car and won't wear a damn seatbelt. If I catch them without it, the car gets pulled over. I am not replacing my windshield, or getting pulled over for a ticket because of their stupidity. These are college educated people, why not wear the damn seatbelt, it is free.
