This is so sad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sisters.
|
My deepest sympathies go out to the families, friends, and sisters of these women.

So sorry to hear this ladies. Thoughts & prayers going out to their families and friends, as well as you wonderful women of Phi Mu. Hang in there, guys. :(

Their adviser and our adviser are good friends. It really wakes you up to how short life is, and to make everyday count. Oh and the SAE's were affected too, one of the girls was also the little sister of an SAE here at TnTech.

Just makes me want to cry. I don't know how their chapter sisters will manage. Sounds like we lost some great girls.

Update
Update of information about Delta Tau chapter's loss
From Shellye M of Phi Mu Foundation I have just spoken with Margo Grace, VP Foundation, and one of the chapter advisers for Delta Tau at WKU who is in Bowling Green with the chapter now. Kathy Williams, National President, and Jenn Wooley, Executive Director, are also with the chapter. Funerals for the two young women from the Nashville area will be Tuesday afternoon. The parents have coordinated the times so that the chapter members will only have to make one trip. Nashville is an hour to an hour and a half from Bowling Green, KY. Arrangements are incomplete for the young woman from Kentucky. Margo agreed with me that if people want to do something in memory of these women that they send a contribution to Phi Mu Foundation and request that the money be set aside until it is determined what would be the best memorial for them. The chapter is doing as well as could be expected. The advisers and the national fraternity, the university and the rest of the Greek system on campus are giving support to our women. Please keep the chapter members, advisers and especially the families of these young women in your thoughts and prayers. Shellye McCarty Alpha Delta VP Donor Relations PM Foundation |

Pam's the greatest. I'm glad I have such amazing sisters around me. Thanks for keeping us all updated, Pammie!

I'm so sorry to hear about the deaths of those women, it broke my heart to read a story like that. :(

This must be so hard. We lost a sister in a car accident my sophomore year during rush. Our chapter was devastated.
My thoughts and prayers go out to them. Isn't their a Phi Mu from that chapter active on GC? |
The AOIIs last night prayed for their chapter, family, and friends. I am still sad about this. It really does make you thank God for your life everyday because you never know...
|
when i heard about this, i was absoultely lost for words. these are three ladies from my school, and it is so sad.
i did not know these ladies, but one of our new girls was roommates with one of the survivors and had classes with the other girls who passed away. western's greek system is a pretty tight knit group, so this affects a lot of people. this is a horrible incident and i offer my sincere condolences for all Phi Mu's..... :( my thoughts and prayers are with everyone coping with this terrible accident. |

I am sorry for your loss. I knew one of the girls, Rachel, as she grew up in the church I attended here in Nashville. I send my condolences to all the sisters at Western and I know it is a loss for the Sorority. Your support as a sisterhood has helped during this time. I pray for your chapter during this time of healing.
