I am in school studying Architecture and Historic Preservation. People who like to restore and conserve old stuff, from building fixtures to antiques to clothing, run in the same circles. We get job postings from all sorts of businesses, ranging from costumers to antiques collectors, wanting people who are willing to at least try out the field. I guess it depends on where you are--a lot of people I know ended up working at Williamsburg, in New Orleans, or the DC museums. :) |
