Bumping...found this on Ebay...and it is a Buy it Now!

msn4med1975 07-03-2004 03:27 PM

This particular seller has several D9 and other assorted pins, old manuals, info on Masons and OES. His most recent auctions haven't been doing so well but if you ever see your material on there he'll try to outbid anyone and then resell it.

He has been around for a while. :( That's my auntie's chapter, too, and if I had the money, I'd surely reclaim that one, but it wouldn't be the first one or the last one he's sold. My question is, how much time does he have on his hands to be finding EVERYBODY'S items like that?

I know some people are collectors. and interested in the historical value, but ol' boy is clearly turning profits.

Yeah, I'm appalled that someone who is greek would do that. But, oh well. He's heard it before, and he's not going to stop. People need to dispose of their stuff properly and our national offices need to make a bigger effort to reclaim these items.

*bump*

Sorry to crash your board ladies, but there is an AKA Ritual (or what someone is claiming is a ritul) up for bids on ebay.

Ritual/ Manual of Standard Procedure

I always search "ritual" now after a few months ago one of Tri Delta's consitutions was up for bids (and listed as ritual). It looks as if right now the winning bidder is an AKA, so I hope it stays that way. Or I hope someone has notified your Excutive Office so they can win it!!

Sorors,

I emailed the seller about the reserve. It is $100.

20PearlGirl 07-07-2005 10:39 PM

Sorors,

I know someone (A Soror) who bought it...not to worry.:D

UrbanizdSkillz 07-08-2005 11:16 AM

I don't mean to crash your thread, but the seller of the Ritual/Manual of Standard Procedures also has a Constitution/Bylaws Handbook from 1980 for sale.

AKA Constitution & Bylaws - 1980

No one has bidded on the item yet & bidding starts at $9.99. I hope one of your Sisters can rescue this item so that it doesn't wind up in the wrong hands!

I can't help but to feel extorted by this individual. He(or she) obviously knows that members are going to keep this information from falling into the wrong hands, so he(or she) sets reserves in order to maximize profits.

As an aside, is there anything we can do to keep Sorors from bidding against each other to drive up the prices and further filling this clown's pockets?

That would be a really good idea, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it, or what venue would be the most approipriate and effective for getting that information out.

Now....its a dang shame if actual sorors of any greek organization are selling thier items on ebay just to make a buck 5. I was on there two nights ago just to see....and a lot of it it "APPEARS" TO BE FROM A VENDOR"

I also saw Zeta, Delta.Alpha, Kappa,Omega items on there.

nachural 07-20-2005 09:25 PM
